This is what's in our "Economy Pack"...
David Gyi is the youngest child of a Chinese culinary expert and cookery author, the late Mrs. Josephine Gyi. Flower Drum soon became a household name across the country in the 1980’s and the place to be for every occasion. Flower Drum developed into a reputable family run restaurant, where its traditions were maintained for over 30 years with the help of his children, O-Lan, Alain and Kalen. Over the decades, David passed on a real love of food and commitment to quality to his children, which he took great pride in. Today, still staying true to a father’s dream, daughter Kalen Gyi is committed to see her father’s vision go from strength to strength. In this light, she has rebranded itself to “Jasmine Song”. Jasmine Song instantly established a reputable name for itself when it opened its doors in 2014 in the hill capital Kandy and now in Colombo 5. Owner Mrs. Kalen Gyi along with the long-standing staff, continue the rich East Asian traditions that begun 100 years ago by her Chinese grandmother and passed on by her father. Her husband and their two sons also devote their time to help manage the two restaurants, marking a fourth generation of service to the community. Kalen and her family warmly invite you to dine at Jasmine Song and experience Chinese cuisine at its finest, where the Flower Drum culture has remained unchanged.
